Procrastinator

So, I've been putting off and putting off and putting off a new post of all the fun summery things we've been doing. Well, I think I've been putting it off so much because it would take forever to blog all the pictures we've taken this summer!

So, I'm starting fresh with just a couple pictures from this last couple of weeks. Then, hopefully, I'll feel better about posting more often and not feel so overwhelmed!

We had so much fun playing and swimming at Grandma's house. Here they all are after a fun morning of running through the sprinklers. Sariah and Micah got to stay with Grandma two nights when Denae had gall bladder surgery.

I was adventurous and made Carnival Squash muffins for Enrichment this month. I ended up putting cream cheese frosting on them and they were delicious!

We took Brian to Chucke Cheese's to celebrate his completion of his pooping chart! He has been officially day trained for a couple months. We'll work on nights when he has more consistency being dry.

Ellie got her first major owwie by falling off the front porch right into the flowers. Unfortunately her head banged right on the rock wall surrounding the flowers. The funniest part was as I was rushing to pick her up, I was more worried about her being dirty then about the wound! She actually didn't have a spot of dirt on her and the goose-egg looks much better now!

Speaking of getting dirty . . . sometimes I think I'm the dirt nazi. I HATE it when my kids play in the dirt and I'm always yelling at Brian, "No dirt!" However, I've been letting the kids play in the backyard so I can get some things done in the kitchen (how else would I cook dinner??), and they've been taking advantage of the lack of supervision. It's such a trade-off. Either I'm out there watching their every move, getting nothing done inside, or they're inside begging for food and getting in my way while I try to get dinner done, or I get to be by myself for 20 min. while they run amok outside. Sigh. Three nights in a row of baths isn't that fun either. :)

Anyway, we've been having such a fun summer. I've been loving reading everyone else's blogs and hope you have fun reading ours!!

It looks like you guys did have a great summer. And I hear ya about the dirt...I'm not the biggest fan either. That's why we resorted to a sandbox which is usually not so bad.

Fun times! You've got to love summer! I'm the same way with dirt and am trying so hard not to worry about it. I guess if they're dirty they're having fun. Enjoy the rest of you summer!
