Way back in January (back when I was laboring over my trip blogs), I was featured in a couple blogs and received two awards. I'm FINALLY acknowledging those awards.
THANK YOU!

First, I received the Honest Scrap Award from Kristen over at the Sassy Mom Shoppe. If you haven't visited her site yet, do it now! I love reading her blog; it's always upbeat and has so many fun ideas and advice for us moms. She's a wonderful friend and sister! Anyway, here are the rules to this award:

Honorees are to list 10 honest things about themselves - and make it interesting! Second, we are to pass the award on to 7 bloggers we feel embody the spirit of the Honest Scrap.Ten Things About Me (you may or may not know):
- I like to change my hairstyle and wear it different almost every day. I hate getting the same haircut over and over.
- I'm a middle child with an older sister, older brother, and three younger brothers (that should explain a lot!).
- I love to eat, especially my parents' cooking! One thing we miss the most about Utah is their Sunday dinners.
- I love being pregnant (many of you will hate me for that).
- I don't like to exercise, especially running. I've been pretty lucky that I've retained my girlish figure, but I'm sure it'll come back and bite me in the butt someday.
- I love not having to work and help support the family. I'm still figuring out the staying at home part. . . (see my most recent post on What's Goin' On...)
- It's hard for me to think of interesting things about myself (which is why this list is taking me forever to write...)
- I didn't have a lot of close friends in jr. high and high school and I wasn't voted most popular or prettiest smile either. However, I was known for something and almost everyone signed my yearbook the same way: "Thanks for being a good example." I used to hate that phrase! :)
- I like to think of myself as a crafty creative person. I have ups and downs like most people; right now I'm working on Ellie's curtains (again) and finishing her baby book (I only scrapbook their first year).
- I've only kissed two in my life and I'm married to one of them!
- I'm adding one more: I don't believe in chain letters, forwards, etc! So, you don't have to do this if I list you below - I just want the world to know how wonderful you are!
I will list my favorite bloggers at the end of this post. :)

I also received the One Lovely Blog Award from my very good friend from BYU, Marianne. Marianne's blog, A Light in the Darkness, would definitely fall under this category. She is such a beautiful and strong person. In her blog she details her struggle with depression and how her faith in Jesus Christ is helping her be a stronger, happier person. This is a blog anyone can relate to because we all have bad days. She's an inspiration to me for sure!
The bloggers who I believe deserve these awards include (I really love all the blogs I read - and I don't read much. Just click on my profile and you'll see the blogs I'm following):

- The Clements Family Blog - Natalie is also a good friend from BYU who is expecting triplets! She just had the ultrasound and they are two boys and a girl. She also has a four year old daughter. Please read her blog and give her lots of support!
- Daily Notions - Lesli Joe was a friend in high school and a roommate at BYU. She was an English major and now teaches at a school for at risk kids/juvenille delinquents (is that right?). I love her posts, especially when she suggests books to read!
- Hott Momma Designs - This is a fairly new blog by my friend Katie here in Ohio. Her family and Troy's family have known each other forever. She's a very creative person and is showcasing her jewelry and other craft projects on her blog.
- In the Kitchen With Kristy - Our cousin Kristy started this blog as a place to get new ideas for recipes. She's started a monthly contest this year - she chooses an ingredient each month, readers submit recipes, and the winner is featured on her blog. She needs participants! (She only had one in February, and it wasn't me - sorry!)
- Modern Myrtle - This blog was created by another cousin, Joni. She's a very creative person who is selling her inspired designs on the web. Check her out and fall in love with her vintage style!
- The Daines Din - My best friend from Portland, Meg, has created a beautiful blog with awesome pictures of her family. She is such a talented photographer; I've never seen pictures like hers. She highlights her other photo shoots on Megan Daines Photography.
- Last of all, I love keeping up with my family on the internet: Nevares Fam, The Brown Family, The Frost Family, the origianl britney, SwiftStuff, The Taming of the Crew, and others. It has been such a joy to keep in touch. I love you all!

Thank you for mentioning me. It truly is an honor. I also love reading your blog and getting to see your cute kids - since you live so far away!
It was fun to read some things that I didn't know about you! Congrats on the awards!
