Fall Comforts

Do you remember your mom's Tuna Noodle Casserole that you loved growing up? I haven't made one in years and decided it was high time to make it again. Here is a great recipe that might be a little different from what you grew up with.

Comfort Food

1 (16 oz) pkg uncooked pasta shells
2 (6 oz) cans tuna, drained
1 (10.75 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
1 (10.75 oz) can cream of celery soup
1 1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
1 tsp. crushed garlic
2 tbs. chopped pimento
1 1/2 - 2 c. shredded cheese
1 1/2 c. crushed potato chips

1. Boil pasta in lightly salted water 10 min. or until al dente; drain well. Return the pasta to the pot it was cooked in.

2. Preheat oven to 350*. Grease 2 1/2 qt casserole (bigger than 8x8, smaller than 9x13).

3. Mix tuna with soups, milk, salt, pepper, garlic, and pimento. Mix with pasta.
4. Spread 1/2 of the noodles in the prepared dish. Sprinkle 1 c. cheese over the noodles, then spread remaining noodles on top. Top with cheese and potato chips.

5. Bake, uncovered, for 30 min; cook until chips begin to brown. Let stand 10 min. before serving.

Comfort foods and Fall go hand in hand, as well as Fall Decor! I don't really have very much going on this year, but I thought I'd share a couple favorites:

I got this idea for a centerpiece a couple years ago at Christmastime. Just fill vases with different items in each. We have here feathers, flowers, and a pinecone mix. You can use whatever you have!

I twisted this wreath from some leftover garlands and vine. Really easy and fast to make!

Happy Fall!
