August Update

Well, I am finally posting to the Blog! It seems like I get to check my email only once a week and maybe look at a couple websites if I'm lucky! We have been busy, busy, busy!

Ellie is now three months!

Ellie has grown so much over the past couple months and we are so impressed at her progress. Our favorite thing about her right now is her beautiful smile! It's hard to catch on camera, though. You put that thing in her face and she is all seriousness - what is that thing?? Some of her favorite things to do are talk/sing with Mommy (I'm still trying to get that recorded, but she clams up for the camera), swing and pull on her links, play with Brian, and hang out with Daddy. We can't believe how strong she is; she can stand while holding our hands, she's very close to sitting by herself, and she has rolled over (tummy to back) a couple times (usually we give her a little help). She is such a happy baby - she smiles at me first thing in the morning and even when she's cranky and wants to sleep she still smiles! We love her so much!

We love this beautiful dress from Grandma Lille!

Brian loves posing with Ellie!

This is about a close to being a beach babe she got!

Finally asleep

The two ladies of the house

Another shot with big brother

Wide-eyed stare for the camera

Does anyone remember Brian's open-mouth smile?? I thought I'd compare it to Ellie's lovely grin:

Playing with the tag on her shirt - she's always grabbing something!

Brian has been busy too. . . .

We've been having a little problem with Brian: his sleeping habits! Not too long ago, we pulled his bed away from the wall because he would bump into it all night and wake us up on the other side. Then he started sleeping on the floor inbetween the crack and the wall. So, we pushed it back, but he must have decided he liked the floor because he has since started to sleep on the floor, under his bed! We've tried to get him to stop with the usual threats and promises, but nothing is working! Our next idea is to get him a bigger bed to toss around in!

Yes, he really is sleeping under his bed!

Brian has also decided he loves helping Mommy in the kitchen! We baked cookies one evening and now he's hooked! He insists on helping me make dinner and today made his first pb&j sandwich.

Brian what's in your hair? Mommy wasn't letting him add the baking soda fast enough so he grabbed it out of her hand causing it to fly through the air and land on his head, lol!

I want a taste! Last night he wanted to taste a frozen tator tot!

Call me the little dipper. Brian dips everything. Here he is dipping toast in cold cereal (it worked well for oatmeal, why not this?).

Dipping string cheese in jelly. Last night he dipped his roll in his applesauce. Today, it was carrots in peanut butter. What a funny kid!

Well that was WAAAY fun!! I loved getting caught up with your little ones. What cuties. I love the picture of the under-the-bed bed. Hey, at least he's asleep and not between you and Troy!! (Ask D.ray and Mel about that) The sleeping picture is sure cute too. She looks exhausted. I loved all of the pictures and commentary. I hope you're mostly having fun amidst all of the hard work of mothering. xoxo

Heather, You look wonderful! You are absolutely glowing, it appears life with two little pumpkins suits you fine! Ellie is starting to look like her own person and I can't decide if she looks more like you or Troy? It is so fun to see everyone doing so well! Love You!
