Happy Fourth

What a fun Fourth of July weekend we had! The actual 4th was rainy and dreary! Bummer! Our bbq pool party was cancelled and we ended up at Cici's pizza with the family. It was a fun night all in all.

Saturday turned out to be a little less wet, but by that evening things had dried up. Brian and I went to Sariah's house for Pops! and Sparklers. Those little things were fun, but dangerous! Soon, Sariah got burned :( and the fun was over. . .

Doing fireworks for the first time

Two at a time!

Sunday was the big event! Every year Troy's parent's neighbors hold a huge potluck and firework show. The food is wonderful and the kids have so much fun. This time was no exception. It also turned out to be a VERY humid day as you can tell by Ellie's curls below:

Aren't they so cute??

Brian and Sariah had fun hanging out, jumping in the bounce house, eating flavored ice, and visiting the port-a-potties (not fun for me).

Did you know pink is the new red? If you look closely, I do have a patriotic shirt on; I just wanted to match Ellie's pink!

We were having so much fun that it took us a moment to realize Ellie had taken off - there she goes!

Getting ready to watch fireworks. If you can believe it, the show was so long Brian lost interest. I had to keep telling him to sit down and watch. It really was a wonderful show and we loved the loud noises and bright lights. Ellie, unfortunately, missed it this year (she goes to bed pretty early), but she'll see it all next year I'm sure!

Happy Independence Day!
