Another Year Older

So, another year has come and gone and I'm that much close to 30! Yikes! I feel so old . . .

Thank you to those who made it a memorable day, especially my sweet hubby, Troy! The evening before, we went to a very fancy restaurant where we had steak and chocolate cake. We also saw a movie in the theater with the cushy seats. . . what a lovely night. Thanks Mom and Dad Hellwig for helping make it happen! And a big thank you to Denae and Sean for babysitting!

One thing I won't forget is the tradition we have started in our family of being sick with the flu on the actual day. My poor sick kids, my poor sick hubby, and poor me taking care of them all! Today was a little better, thank goodness, so we'll be all better for a make-up celebration this week! (We need it - they didn't get to sing happy birthday or help me blow out candles - my poor kids!)

Last of all, thank you for the calls, text-messages, and emails. Especially to my parents who DID sing happy birthday and sent me an awesome card. I love you all!!

Happy Birthday! That's too bad having a sick famiy on your birthday! It was like that for me on Mother's Day. I don't know if you remember me, but I've met you a couple of times before at the Springfield Ward. I used to go to church there when I was younger. Your Sassy Mom Shoppe is cute. What is it exactly?
