My dear friend/sister Kristen, aka The Sassy Mom, was recently diagnosed with Celiac Disease. Throughout all this she has had an amazing attitude and positive outlook. Her strength has been incredible. Because of this, she is now focusing The Sassy Mom Shoppe as a way to inform and help others with this disease. I will be posting periodically there, but not as often as before.
For the time being, my weekly decorating posts will be here on the Hellwig Family Blog. I'm so excited to share -
and I hope you don't mind!
This week we put up our Christmas tree. For the past 6 years we have had a live tree, but last year I decided I had had it with the mess and hassle. So, after Christmas I bought a beautiful, pre-lit, 7 ft, tree. Unfortunately, it's just as crooked as our live trees were!
I think everyone can remember what happened last year. . .
First this:

Then this:

(I didn't get a picture of the tree actually on the floor, but you get the idea. Needless to say, there were a lot
of broken ornaments . . .)
Thus the fake tree and the more sturdy tree stand and the plastic ornaments I went out and bought shortly after the falling tree fiasco.
So, here is our tree this year in all its glory:

And a couple little elfves:

Merry Christmas!!

I am all about fake trees. We will be purchasing one the day after Christmas this year! For right now we have a spiral light tree that suits us just fine.
Your little elves are darling!
So cute...your little elves.
I'll look forward to your decorating posts.
